  • Meeting Room fully refurbished with new ceiling following major structural improvements of the roof . Improved sound insulation and improved facility to integrate with bar area for major functions.
see Meeting Room and its refurbishment story

  • The mainhall floor fully cutback to its timber and resealed / re-marked - now fully meeting satisfaction of dancers, sports groups and - as general visual impact - all Users
see Main Hall and see Main Hall refurbishment story
  • Skylights fully replaced with 12 Velux windows providing remote control opening and integral blackout blinds
  • Mainhall wiring tidied into trunking and then walls fully board-plastered and decorated. Plastic dado for protection.
  • Rationalisation and smartening of noticeboards.
  • Expert advice sought on the eco-economics and feasibility of energy savings - considering the boiler and hall insulation. Nothing identified outside of issues above (which were justified on comfort rather than eco-economics)
