Sunday 5 November 2008 - Book & Film evening - organised in association with the Chester Literature Festival

Attended by 70 people - many of whom had never been in the Hall before.
Showing of the film - 'Cold Comfort Farm' starring ....utilised the Hall's media system with the computer projector loaned courtesy of the Upton Local History Group.
Review submitted by the projectionist - all other attendees busy reading their next novels!!
The male minority of the audience seemed to share a concensus that this is a woman's story - but struggled to put into words 'how this was'.
The film was a great success with super projection and sound reproduction - but then I would say that !!!
