This exhibition on 24 June 2007 followed a similar (Newton - focused) event the day before at Kingsway Chapel in Newton. Both - organised by Upton Local History Group - were a great success. Video recordings have been made of both events. During the exhibition a computer scanning facility was available and many new images were collected. Below is an example - this not only shows the Guide Company of 1955 but also serves to show us how the stage and its setting looked in 1955. Note the 1928 emblem on the curtain pelmet.

Bob Parker ran a 'Horrid History Trail' again and 30 families took the challenge.
